How to: Find a Site ID for A Site You See On the Navigator Map

  • Why do I want to do this? – Because getting the Site ID is useful to generating Time Series data / plots (see below) . Note that you also search by agency etc… which might be easier
  • Go into Navigator as in How to: View Currently Hourly Data
  • Find the site of interest
  • Select the Site Info Tool by
    • Finding a small left facing white arrow below the upper right box– click it
    • This expand a small box called “Tools”
    • Select the left most one (an arrow with a little yellow box)
    • Now click on the site
    • You will see a lot of info about the site in a box under the Tools box
    • You will want the “AQS Code” for searching in the Data section later

How to: Get Time Series Data from Forest Service Sites or Other Sites

  • Once you have your AQS Code site IDs,

      • To get all the Forest Service Sites:

    • Hit the “>>” arrow to move all the Filtered Sites into Selected Sites
    • You can now run other filters and continue to add them to Selected Sites (your current Selected Sites will remain saved unless you exit the popup)
    • Once you have all the sites you want, you may want to name your list
    • Hit “OK”
    • In the “Display Settings” box on the left
      • Make sure the Date Range is correct
      • Under “Display”, select whether you want to see a table of values or a plot
      • Once all of the above is set,
        • Find the “Run” button
        • (You may also want to save this query in which case name it and hit “Save”)
        • Note you can export the data with the Export button
